drinking wine out the avelox cup
the old place is up
for grabs
you ever seen me cluck
like a coward?
I keep finding you in the dirt
its been three days in a row
and I still can’t get enough
you are pine resin
you cause so much friction
I can’t wash you off
you end up in corners of my body
of which I was previously unaware
you smell like grapefruit, hops
and dirty socks
you will become harder and more precious
the longer you stay buried
whereas once you were a byproduct
leeching into aging wine
now you are characteristic
of the product itself
